Theories of Understanding

A year ago, before beginning my thesis, I was tasked with writing 3 papers about my theories of Understanding (theory of positionality and identity, theory of social change, and theory of social inequality). In this section, I have included my writing for each of these papers, along with a new section under each paper commenting on my thoughts on this writing a year later, and with a completed project. Part of me wanted to rewrite these sections and never let these papers see the light of day, but I think showing the growth and changes this project has made in me and my writing, is important. These papers offer insight into my thoughts and ideas before the major parts of the projects began, providing the best view of my original thoughts at the project’s inception.
